Count variables are interesting because they possess the ability to predict for naturally skewed distributions. Count variables seem to generate non-normal distributions, Luckily, modeling can occur with naturally skewed variables through the use of logarithmic transformation or statistical tests such as Poisson regression and negative binomial regression.
