The total diagnostic accuracy of a test can be calculated as well using the 2x2 table. With total diagnostic accuracy, researchers are comparing the "true" findings (true-positive and true-negative) to all possible diagnostic findings (true-positive, true-negative, false-positive, and false-negative).
