Tukey's HSD

Tukey's HSD test is often used in social and psychological research

Tukey's HSD test is a prevalent pairwise test that is used to adjust for multiple comparisons in the social sciences. Tukey's HSD test calculates the minimum difference needed between means that is necessary for meeting statistical significance. The value, called the honestly significant difference (HSD), is then used to compare any set of two independent groups. If the difference between two means is greater than the HSD, then that difference between the two groups is considered statistical significant. Tukey's HSD test is best used when all pairwise comparisons are going to be conducted.
