Cross-tabulation
Cross-tabulation tables describe relationships between categorical variables
Cross-tabulation tables are used in research to describe the relationships between categorical predictor, confounding, and outcome variables. The 2x2 cross-tabulation table is used to calculate epidemiological and diagnostic testing measures. Cross-tabulation tables allow for many different research questions to be asked.
The steps for conducting a cross-tabulation table in SPSS

2. Click Analyze.
3. Drag the cursor over the Descriptive Statistics drop-down menu.
4. Click on Crosstabs.
5. Click on a categorical predictor or independent variable to highlight it.
